Self care is such an important part of life. It’s so easy to get caught up in the daily tasks at hand, to get stuck in a rut of your routine and one day you realize it’s been a long time since you’ve done anything truly just for yourself. With working two jobs, it’s easy for me to get caught up and not do anything for myself. I go through phases where I feel burnt out, but having a self care day helps with that.
A lot of people think self care is going to get your nails done or your hair or something along those lines. Self care can mean journaling, yoga, meditating. Anything that brings you peace and comfort, even for a little moment in the day. It doesn’t have to be the entire day.
Here’s some of my favorite ideas:
Journaling. Binging a TV show🥴. Coffee shops. I recently got a facial and it was so relaxing and wonderful. Catching up with friends. Scrapbooking. Painting. Hot showers.
When I’m in a rut, I tend to shut out people, or just simply don’t make the time for them, so self care can also be making time for the important people in your life.
Some good journal prompts:
List of things that make me smile. List of things that make me proud/happy. List of things I’m grateful for. List out your goals.
Self care days or moments can be anything and different for everyone, but important for everyone💜
